The July 29 fight between Adrien Broner and Mikey Garcia at 140 pounds has a home, and as expected, it’s the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Showtime will air the card that night.

Broner (33-2, 24 KO) is moving back down to 140 pounds for the fight, while Garcia (36-0, 30 KO) is moving up from lightweight, thus making the weight a concern for both. Will Garcia be the same at 140? Can Broner even make 140 anymore without seriously draining himself?

“Broner vs. Garcia is one of the year’s biggest matchups in boxing and we anticipate an electric atmosphere at Barclays Center,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment. “This will be our fourth major card in 2017 as Brooklyn Boxing continues to deliver dramatic moments, competitive fights, and many of the sport’s biggest names to fight fans.”

On the undercard, Jarrett Hurd (20-0, 14 KO) will defend his 154-pound belt against former titleholder Austin Trout (30-3, 17 KO) in another intriguing matchup.
