Adrien Broner: About Boxing

Adrien Broner releases a new web series about him taking his career more seriously.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

Adrien Broner is just a few weeks away from one of the biggest fights of his career. He’ll be taking on Mikey Garcia on July 29th in something of a crossroads fight for him. Broner remains one of boxing’s most marketable stars, but a lack of discipline, both in and outside of the ring, haven’t allowed him to reach his full potential.

At age 27, it’s perfectly reasonable for fans to believe that Broner will never change his stripes, but Broner insists that he’s focused on making the most out of the second half of his career. As such, Broner unveils a new documentary series called “About Boxing”, which is sort of a self-reflective piece that centers around Broner’s current mindset.

That said, Broner hasn’t undergone a complete personality overhaul, so there’s still some footage of the strip club scene [which is to say that some of the video footage is probably NSFW].

After highlighting some of the fighters under his promotional banner, namely Robert Easter Jr., the last third of the video show behind the scenes footage of Broner’s training camp in Colorado Springs. Check it out.
