Today at 5:30pm ET, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will formally announce their August 26 fight live from the Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Ariel Helwani will be hosting the live coverage for Showtime Sports alongside Paulie Malignaggi and Brenden Schaub.
Surely there’s little to be said about the actual fight that hasn’t been said already, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will have plenty to say once the microphones are on and the cameras are rolling.
So soak it all in, folks. From now through August it’s going to be Mayweather and McGregor — primetime all the time.
The two combatants will officially square off at on Aug. 26 on Showtime PPV live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in what is expected to be a massive event. If nothing else, the four city press tour should be pretty indicative of that.
