Mayweather not buying into rumors of McGregor getting knocked out in sparring

Not that it matters much; Floyd is going to do a number on Conor come fight night.

In a telephone interview with FightHype, Floyd Mayweather says he’s not paying any attention to rumors of Conor McGregor getting knocked out by a sparring partner already. In fact the rumor, which caught fire over the weekend, was started by Jessie Vargas, who used to be under Mayweather’s promotional banner.

Brandon Rios, who was alongside Vargas in the now viral video mentioned that he’s also been hearing stories about McGregor getting worked over in sparring, with Vargas adding:

“Yeah, man. The boxing world is small so, it’s a small circle.”

In response to all the talk, Mayweather says:

“If I ain’t see no footage I don’t believe it. And me and Jessie Vargas are in communication. We’re talking about working together again as far as him signing back with Mayweather Promotions. I would love to work back with Jessie Vargas...but everything is rumors until I see it...”

But there you have it. That’s the word on the street.
