Joshua-Klitschko II tentatively scheduled for Nov. 11

Promoter Eddie Hearn has his sights set on November 11th in Las Vegas.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn tells Sky Sports that he’s targeting November 11 as the date for a rematch between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko and that he’s planning to stage the fight in Las Vegas.

The British-based promoter has been spending time in Vegas recently and meeting with representatives of the MGM Grand and T-Mobile Arena as he tries to lock-in a venue to finalize the fight. Klitschko hasn’t officially come out to confirm that he’s coming back for the rematch, but all indicators are that it’s going to happen at this point.

"I've been in Vegas with AJ, officially applying for my Nevada boxing license to promote there and that went well.

"I met with the MGM and met with the T-Mobile Arena, Vegas is the front runner and November 11 is the date that is pencilled in.

"It will probably take a couple of weeks to get everything over the line, but I believe Klitschko will take this fight and believe Vegas will be the one.”

Hearn continued by saying that he has full confidence of a mass migration of British fans to Las Vegas for the prospective fight, which will only make it a massive event Stateside. A Mayweather-Hatton-type event immediately comes to mind. We shall see...
