Next Tuesday, July 11, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will kick off a world tour of press conferences at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, ahead of their big and highly discussed August 26 pay-per-view boxing match in Las Vegas.
Mayweather, 40, and McGregor, 28, will go to this press conference, say things, and look at each other, after which many cameras will take pictures, then turn while standing next to one another, and many cameras will take more pictures.
Here are other things that may happen at this press conference:
- Leonard Ellerbe will put on his gracious tone
- Stephen Espinoza may or may not take a subtle shot at the Canelo-Golovkin HBO PPV on September 16, but most likely will just be happy to have a marquee event to promote again, it’s been a bit of a tough go since the ol’ PBC on Various Stations thing started
- Floyd Mayweather will probably go for the low-key humble bit, perhaps leaving trash talk to Conor McGregor, who frankly is better at it
- McGregor may shove Mayweather or otherwise try to physically engage him
In other words, wow, this is going to be a true spectacle, and if you’re in the Los Angeles area, you’ll surely want to buy tickets tomorrow starting at 12:00 pm PDT.
