According to Tony Bellew, he’s looking at a ring return before the end of the year and he’s close to announcing his next opponent. Despite some talk about a potential fight with Andre Ward, Bellew is turning his attention away from Ward which leads many to believe he’ll end up rematching David Haye.
"Eddie Hearn is closing in on it now," Bellew told Sky Sports News. "We got a fair bit closer with Andre Ward and I thought that was going to get announced imminently, to be honest.
"Eddie came back to me with something else, and said 'this is what's going on and this is what's happening.' I trust Eddie and I believe in what he does by me. He has led me this far.”
Bellew has also expressed interest in taking on WBO heavyweight titlist Joseph Parker should he beat Hughie Fury this fall, but that would seem up in the air for now.
What do you think is the next best move for Bellew?
