With the ongoing Conor McGregor-Paulie Malignaggi beef serving as prime promotional material for McGregor’s August 26 fight with Floyd Mayweather, UFC boss Dana White has conditionally accepted Malignaggi’s challenge to release video of their last sparring session.
Here’s the first video:
For all the people who think @TheNotoriousMMA can't box. This is gonna be a FIGHT! Conor vs Paulie Malignaggi former IBF/WBA World Champion. pic.twitter.com/CcTkFq0fhr

And here’s the second:

Now, Malignaggi asked for all 12 rounds to be released, and has even admitted he lost the last round of their sparring, feeling fatigued. This is obviously selected footage meant to make McGregor look good, and even that you can argue with, which of course Paulie did:
As I've said, we got 36 min last Tues, I've already explained the last 2 rounds were his. I stand by the full 36 min tho. Edit how u like.

Yea? His right hand dragging me behind my neck towards his lead right foot in the southpaw stance doesn't do it for you? https://t.co/95y1spVwaX

What I been saying still holds true, he gets 11 and 12 of which he shows footage and the "knockdown" is right hand draggin me down. 36 min.

And there’s about 50 other tweets of this sort, too. It’s all a good story that keeps Malignaggi in the spotlight and helps hype the fight — I don’t know if Malignaggi cares about that, but it’s a side benefit for the promotion.
Anyway, that’s where all this mess stands right now. You’d think we’re about to see McGregor-Malignaggi, and hell, maybe we will.
