Terence Crawford vs Mikey Garcia: Who would win?

Let’s say Terence Crawford faced Mikey Garcia at 140. Who would win?

A little less than three weeks ago, after Mikey Garcia debuted at 140 pounds and defeated Adrien Broner, I wrote a post about a potential super fight (if you will) between Garcia and Terence Crawford.

One question at the time was Crawford’s next fight, coming August 20 against fellow 140-pound titleholder Julius Indongo. Last night in Lincoln, Nebraska, Crawford made short work of Indongo, knocking him out with a body shot in the third round.

I still want to see Crawford (31-0, 23 KO) and Garcia (37-0, 30 KO) square off at 140 pounds. When I brought the fight up before, I noted the difficulties in making the fight, particularly that Garcia works with Al Haymon and Crawford is a Top Rank fighter, a situation made worse by the fact that there is likely still some bad blood between Garcia and Top Rank, his former promoter, as a result of their long and difficult split.

But let’s just, for fun, think about the matchup. If they fought at 140 pounds, who would keep his “0,” and who would suffer his first loss?
