Marquez on how it feels to have officially retired:
“Well I retired 15-days ago, right now I feel sad. I feel sad but, uh, I need to retire because the body tell me something. I hurt my right knee, I hurt my left shoulder — I need to retire because I have 32 years of career.”
On what he thinks his best win was in a Hall of Fame worthy career:
“I think the most important fight for me was the four fight with Manny Pacquiao because Pacquiao was the best pound-for-pound fighter and I fought with him and, uh, maybe that — the four fights with Pacquaio.”
On how he breaks down the Canelo-Golovkin fight:
“I think the fight will be a great fight. Canelo has the perfect style to won the fight, but I think Gennady Golovkin is a dangerous fighter. He has power, he has, uh, his strength, and I think it will be a great fight but I think Canelo will win the fight.
On how he thinks Canelo will win:
“By decision, I think. By decision because Golovkin is a stronger fighter pero I think Canelo has the power, has the speed, he use the counter puncher. I think Canelo will win by decision.”
