Ward warns Bellew: This isn’t Creed, this is real life!

Andre Ward says he’s open to facing Tony Bellew but he just has to realize this isn’t a scripted movie.

Andre Ward doesn’t have a problem with moving up to cruiserweight to take on Tony Bellew, but he’s still weighing all his options before making a final decision on his next move. Bellew has been mentioning Ward’s name as a potential opponent pretty frequently but Ward makes it clear to Sky Sports that this isn’t going to be like the movie Creed.

"I've got a lot of respect for Bellew, I think he's a quality fighter. It wouldn't be an easy fight and I don't mind him doing a bunch of talking but he has to remember something - this is real life.

"This isn't Creed, this is not the movies, this is real. As long as he understands that it's all good."

London’s O2 Arena and Wembley Stadium are already being mentioned as possible venues for this bout, should it happen, and Ward says fighting in the UK is definitely on his bucket list.

Ward has never competed at cruiserweight before, but one would have to imagine that the current pound-for-pound king would be heavily favored in that match-up.
