Adonis Stevenson to Badou Jack: Let’s fight!

Adonis Stevenson says he’s ready to face Badou Jack.

We’ll have to wait and see how serious it is, but following Badou Jack calling him out last night, Adonis Stevenson has responded on Twitter, seemingly accepting the challenge.

Jack (22-1-2, 13 KO) destroyed Nathan Cleverly to win the WBA light heavyweight title on the Mayweather-McGregor pay-per-view, then called out Stevenson, the reigning WBC champion, with some pointed comments.

Here’s Stevenson’s social media reply:

Stevenson (29-1, 24 KO) is coming off of an easy TKO-2 win over Andrzej Fonfara on June 3. Jack told Showtime’s Jim Gray that he would be willing to travel to Canada to make the fight happen, but again, that’s something we’d have to wait and see. A lot of fighters say a lot of things before actual negotiations begin.

That said, Stevenson-Jack is now a super interesting fight, one of the best to be made at 175 pounds, where Jack debuted and looked stellar, and Stevenson has been mowing down opponents for a while, even considering some of the people he hasn’t faced.

Who would you favor here? Jack looked great last night and is the younger man, but Stevenson has that eraser left hand and can’t be taken lightly at all.
