Saunders’ son punches Monroe in the balls during weigh-in

Okay, now I’ve seen everything...

You certainly don’t see this everyday!

But let’s begin with the official weigh-in results. For tomorrow night’s WBO title defense between Billy Joe Saunders and Willie Monroe Jr, both fighters made weight, with Monroe and Saunders officially weighing-in at the 160lb middleweight limit.

Now, with those particulars out of the way, let’s get on to the most notable part of the weigh-in. After hitting the scales both Saunders and Monroe squared off for the last traditional face off, but this time Saunders was accompanied by his young son on stage.

Saunders’ son would step on the scale in between the fighters, in a playful manner, but would then turn and punch Monroe right in the balls out of nowhere! It was quite the scene.

The young boy would be pulled off stage but could still be seen and heard hurling expletives in Monroe’s direction in a rather aggressive manner. But I suppose this whole thing isn’t completely surprising given his father’s general disposition towards being distasteful.
