With Bermane Stiverne finally out of the way, it looks as though the November 4th showdown between Deontay Wilder and Luis Ortiz is a done deal. Showtime today confirmed that the fight is official and set to take place in Brooklyn.

A site whom I do not link to because they are jerks says that a press conference will take place on Wednesday to properly announce the card, which BoxRec says includes Daniel Jacobs (32-2, 29 KO) and Sergey Lipinets (12-0, 10 KO) against the TBA Twins.

Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KO) will face Dominic Breazeale (18-1, 16 KO) earlier in the evening.

Wilder (38-0, 37 KO) has not fought since February, when he overcame a slow start to batter Gerald Washington into submission in Birmingham. Ortiz (27-0, 23 KO) has been similarly inactive, last entering the ring in December against Dave Allen.

This is without question one of the best fights the heavyweight division can offer. If they can get solid opponents for Jacobs and Lipinets, this could wind up being a special evening.
