Nothing has yet been signed

David Haye took to Twitter today to announce that “all” details have been ironed out for his rematch with Tony Bellew.

While Eddie Hearn confirmed that “[n]othing is signed yet,” World Boxing News reports that they have it on “good authority” that the fight will take place on December 17th at the O2 Arena.

Bellew (29-2-1, 19 KO) took home the win in March after Haye (28-3, 26 KO) suffered a serious Achilles injury, which he had to have surgery to correct. I’ll be impressed if he manages to get all the way through physical therapy and a full camp and arrive in the ring in peak condition. Despite this, he’s currently more than a three-to-one favorite thanks to the success he had in the early rounds before his knee went kaput.

Who’s up for some violence on the Day of Rest? I sure as hell am.
