Montana Love to replace Wellington Romero on ShoBox

Another change to Friday’s ShoBox card has been made.

Friday’s ShoBox card had already been reduced from a four-fight bill to a tripleheader with Devin Haney vs Harmonito Dela Torre canceled, and now the show has another change to its televised card.

Wellington Romero, who was set to face Samuel Teah (12-1-1, 5 KO) in an eight-round junior welterweight bout, is out with an injury, and will be replaced by Montana Love (8-0, 4 KO), who was already slated to fight on the untelevised undercard.

Love, 23, is a Cleveland fighter who recently served as Robert Easter Jr’s chief sparring partner, and has worked in the gym with Adrien Broner. He went 174-13 as an amateur and won a bronze medal at the 2012 National Golden Gloves Championships.

Love-Teah will open the broadcast. The main event for the show will pit unbeaten super middleweight prospects Ronald Ellis (14-0-1, 10 KO) and Junior Younan (13-0, 9 KO) in a 10-round bout, and Thomas Mattice (10-0, 8 KO) will face Rolando Chinea (15-1-1, 6 KO) in an eight-round lightweight bout.
