Mayweather taunts fans by stepping into the octagon

The media savvy Floyd Mayweather is again dropping hints that his fighting days may not be over — this time by posting a video of himself walking into a mixed martial arts octagon as if he's preparing to train in the discipline.

Mayweather made a ridiculous sum of money for probably the easiest fight of his career last summer when he took on Conor McGregor. McGregor has since invited Floyd to face him in the octagon so he can get his comeuppance, but that has always seemed like a stretch of an idea.

At age 40, Mayweather has spent his entire career inside a boxing ring, and unless he wishes to suffer the same fate as James Toney, he should probably keep it that way. That said, Mayweather did say last month that he could make $1 billion in a UFC deal, and that's some serious cash.

Maybe this is just a troll job from Mayweather, but maybe it's something more. Floyd has continually taunted Conor McGregor ever since knocking him out last August — even as recently yesterday with his version of #MCM.

#MCM Mayweather Crushes McGregor.

Do you think there's any chance Mayweather takes the plunge into MMA for a boat load of cash?
