Super middleweights Andre Dirrell (26-2, 16 KOs) and Jose Uzcategui (26-2, 22 KOs) have officially been scheduled to rematch on March 3rd. Their fight will join the Deontay Wilder vs. Luis Ortiz undercard set in Brooklyn, with the winner getting a shot a the IBF title per a report from Ring TV.
Their first fight last May ended in a disqualification win for Dirrell when Uzcategui, who had been previously warned for punching after the bell, caught Dirrell late again once again and knocked him out. But perhaps even more memorable was what happened afterwards: Dirrell's uncle and cornerman Leon Lawson deciding to take matters into his own hands — Vinny Paz style.
Dirrell hasn't looked quite like the same fighter he used to be ever since his 2010 fight with Arthur Abraham (which also ended in similar circumstances), and at age 34, having already come up short twice in world title opportunities, this may be his last chance to make a run at major title.
