Murata vs Brant: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

Ryota Murata faces Rob Brant on ESPN+.

Top Rank

Tonight at 10:30 pm ET streaming live on ESPN+, Ryota Murata returns to action to defend his WBA “world” middleweight title against Rob Brant in the main event from Las Vegas.

Murata (14-1, 11 KO) may well be fighting for a chance to face Gennady Golovkin next spring. If he wins tonight, that seems a real possibility, as Golovkin’s promoter Tom Loeffler and Top Rank’s Bob Arum have both discussed it as a potential money fight in Japan, where Murata is very popular as not only a pro world champion, but also the 2012 Olympic gold medalist at middleweight.

Brant (23-1, 16 KO) will try to prevent that from happening, of course, as he looks to fully rebound from his loss at 168 pounds to Juergen Braehmer last year.

In the co-feature, prospect Maxim Dadashev (11-0, 10 KO) will face veteran and former world titleholder Antonio DeMarco (33-6-1, 24 KO) in a crossroads bout set for 10 rounds.
