As expected, two-time Olympian Egidijus Kavaliauskas is set to face fellow unbeaten Roberto Arriaza in a WBO welterweight eliminator on the undercard of Maurice Hooker vs. Alex Saucedo.
The event takes place November 16th in Oklahoma City; the main event can be seen on ESPN, the undercard on ESPN+.
Kavaliauskas (20-0, 16 KO) has put on some serious displays of violence in his pro career, but had more trouble than expected against Juan Carlos Abreu earlier this year, which wasn’t the first time he’s failed to impress in victory. It’s unclear whether he’ll face a similar test in Arriaza (17-0, 13 KO), an unproven knockout artist out of Nicaragua.
Interestingly, the two share a common opponent in Cameron Krael, whom they each beat by nearly identical margins.
Other names of note on the undercard include super lightweight Cletus Seldin (21-1, 17 KO) making his first appearance since a brutal routing from Yves Ulysse Jr. last December against Carlos Padilla (16-8-1, 10 KO), a super featherweight who is 1-7 in his last eight fights and suffered six knockout losses along the way. There’s also Trey Lippe Morrison (15-0, 15 KO) against TBA up at heavyweight.
