Tomorrow night’s HBO tripleheader is set and ready to go, as all six fighters made weight for the bouts from New York’s Hulu Theater.
In the main event, Daniel Jacobs (34-2, 29 KO) and Sergiy Derevyanchenko (12-0, 10 KO) will meet for the vacant IBF middleweight title, stripped earlier this year from Gennady Golovkin. It’s an interesting matchup as the two share a manager and a trainer — Andre Rozier will be in Jacobs’ corner for this fight, for the record — and they’re both legitimate contenders at 160.
Jacobs weighed in at 159.6, with Derevyanchenko at 159.4.
In the co-feature, Alberto Machado (20-0, 16 KO) will defend the WBA “world” super featherweight title against former prospect Yuandale Evans (20-1, 14 KO). Machado weighed in at the limit of 130, with Evans at 129.4.
The opener will be a rematch in the featherweight division, as Heather Hardy (21-0, 4 KO) and Shelly Vincent (23-1, 1 KO) glove up and look to put on a show like they did in 2016, when they had a hell of a scrap. Hardy weighed in at 124.6, with Vincent at 125.4.
