Brook tells Sky Sports that Khan “better be watching,” and hopes that Amir will be ringside for the bout.
Brook (37-2, 26 KO) has fought once this year, blasting Sergiy Rabchenko in about a round-and-a-half on March 3 in Sheffield. It was his move to the 154-pound division, and he looked sharp and strong against a decent tune-up style opponent.
He was set to have another tune-up in the summer, but pulled out due to injury. Most of his year has been spent trading words in the press with Khan (33-4, 20 KO). It’s a fight that both of them said would be easier to make now that they’re both promoted by Matchroom, but it’s turned out just as difficult as ever, really, with Khan wanting the fight at 147 pounds, plus a rehydration clause, the latter stipulation Brook has laughed off.
Brook-TBA will stream on DAZN in the United States.
