Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller is set to take on Tomasz Adamek this weekend, but what he’d really like is a chance to punch heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in the face. The two heavyweights got into a bit of an altercation earlier this summer at a DAZN press conference, and Miller is still holding onto some ill feelings.
“I don’t like what he stands for, and I don’t like him. I want to break his jaw,” Miller told Sky Sports.
“I smelled fear. He’s been protected all the time - they gave him the Olympics, they gave him easy fights. It’s another thing when you have someone who had to earn and strive for everything. That’s me.”
Should Miller win this weekend he’s expected to be in position to compete for the WBA’s ‘regular’ title, which could soon put in in line to face Joshua. Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn says that it’s only natural that Miller would want a shot at Joshua, and that if he’s able to win the ‘regular’ title he could attempt to force a fight with Joshua by the end of 2019.
Of course a lot change change between now and then...
