Vargas vs Dulorme: Live streaming results and round by round coverage

This evening at 9:00 pm ET streaming live on DAZN, Matchroom comes to Chicago with a big card where three world titles are on the line.

In the main event, Jessie Vargas (28-2-1, 10 KO) and Thomas Dulorme (24-3, 16 KO) square off in a 12-round welterweight bout with the WBC “silver” title, and potentially a world title shot, on the line.

In the co-feature, Artur Beterbiev (12-0, 12 KO) will defend the IBF light heavyweight title against Callum Johnson (17-0, 12 KO).

Three other fights, including a pair of world title bouts, are scheduled, too. Jarrell Miller (21-0-1, 18 KO) will look to take another step against 41-year-old veteran Tomasz Adamek (53-5, 31 KO) in a heavyweight attraction. Danny Roman (25-2-1, 9 KO) will face Gavin McDonnell (20-1-2, 5 KO) for Roman’s WBA “world” super bantamweight title. And Erica Farias (26-2, 10 KO) faces Jessica McCaskill (5-2, 3 KO) for Farias’ WBC junior welterweight title.

JESSIE VARGAS vs THOMAS DULMORE

Round 1: Hard right hand lands for Dulorme right out the gate! Dulorme looks for another one but this time Vargas is able to get out of the way. Vargas is laying back now, making Dulorme come to him and lead so he can counter. Dulorme won’t overextend himself and but lands a jab to the body. Dulorme tries another bight right hook that misses again. Both fighters land a punch during an exchange. Dulorme lands another jab to the body, then a straight right hand. Now Vargas lands a hard left hook to the body. Counter hook shakes up Vargas badly as he almost hits the deck! Dulorme 10-9.

Round 2: Vargas tries to lead with his jab. Dulorme goes for the home run right hook again and it misses the target. Lead left hook lands this time for Dulorme, then a right hand lead shortly after. Jab to the body lands for Dulorme, then follows it up with two more punches. Two hard shots snaps Vargas’ head! Referee calls a timeout to take a look at a cut over Vargas’s right eye, ruled an accidental head clash. Dulorme slips three jabs that come from Vargas. Big left hook misses for Dulorme. Dulorme 10-9.

Round 3: Jab lands clean for Dulorme. Dulorme now throws the jab to the body. Vargas misses upstairs on two jabs but continues to look for something significant to land to get the momentum back. Lead right hand lands for Dulorme. Vargas continues to miss with his jab upstairs. Now Dulorme tries to jump in with two big hooks that miss. Dulorme flashes some fancy defense and pivots under a Vargas attack. Now Dulorme gets in a right hand following a jab. Right hook to the body land for Dulorme. I still like Dulorme in these rounds. Dulorme 10-9.

Round 4: Dulorme stalks forward and looks for a big overhand right but Vargas gets in a left in return. Jab to the body lands for Dulorme, then another one a few seconds later. Vargas lands a good shot and Vargas lands a clean right hand as Dulorme holds on! Vargas lands a left hand and then a chopping fight hand. Vargas is finally starting to get his game together. Jab lands for Dulorme. Right hand lands for Dulorme and Vargas lands one too! Dulorme throws a flurry of punches to end the round but they don’t land clean. I think Vargas gets on the board as he hurt Dulorme in this round. Vargas 10-9, 37-39.

Round 5: Dulorme misses again on a wild overhand right. Vargas lands a jab now, but Dulorme gets in a hook right afterwards. Jab to the body lands for Dulorme. Both fighters land jabs on one another. Another jab to the body comes from Dulorme. Two more body shots come from Dulorme. Dulorme misses on yet another wide right hook. Vargas lands a clean shot and Dulorme backs up but then rushes right back with a several punches! I think Dulorme edged it. Dulorme 10-9.

Round 6: Dulorme goes for another haymaker hook that hasn’t landed since the opening seconds of the first round. Dulorme falls into Vargas and lands a couple of body shots. Two clean shots lands for Vargas, who then tries to follow it up with a couple more. Big right hand lead lands now for Dulorme! Vargas lands a counter jab on Dulorme. Now Vargas lands a check hook on Dulorme as he steps away. Vargas 10-9, 56-58.

Round 7: Vargas tries to sneak in three left hooks to the body as the fighters get in close quarters. Left jab to the body, followed by a right hand upstairs lands for Dulorme. Hard right hand lands for Dulorme, the referee says it was low but it didn’t look like it was. Another right hand to the body lands for Dulorme. Vargas throws a flurry of punches and he keeps throwing for longer than Dulorme expected. Right hand grazes Vargas’ face. Left hook lead lands for Dulorme. Vargas goes back to a consistent jab which keeps Dulorme from jumping in. I think Vargas steals the round. Vargas 10-9.

Round 8: Two hard body shots land for Dulorme! Now the fighters trade and Dulorme might’ve got the best shot of the exchange as Vargas’ cut gets opened up. Left hook lands upstairs for Dulorme. Left hook lands again for Dulorme! Vargas looks to mount an attack but can’t find the target as Dulorme pulls away. Jab to the body lands again for Dulorme. Vargas lands a counter right hand but I think Dulorme had the better round. Dulorme 10-9, 77-75.

Round 9: Dulorme comes out and lands a quick jab. Dulorme is taking an aggressive posture and comes forward looking to land something big on Vargas. Dulorme lands a jab to the body. Left hook lands for Dulorme. Right hand to the body lands for Dulorme. Jab to the body lands again for Dulorme. Vargas hasn’t really done much in this round. Now Vargas lands a jab with just over 30 seconds left in the round. Clean right hand lands for Dulorme. Dulorme 10-9.

Round 10: Dulorme walks forward behind a jab that falls just short. Now Dulorme gets in a left hook downstairs. Vargas tries to fend off Dulorme with a jab but can’t land it really well. Jab to the body comes from Dulorme after a number of feints, then Vargas times a nice straight right that drops Dulorme! Dulorme beats the count and looks like he still has his legs under him. Vargas tries to step it up but Dulorme isn’t taking any follow up shots, he’s clear headed. Vargas 10-8, 94-95.

Round 11: Dulorme tries to jab to the body. Another jab lands for Dulorme to the body. Several jabs come from Vargas at center ring. Two body shots come from Dulorme but they don’t land clean. Vargas lands a hook to the body. Left hook lands for Dulorme this time, though. Close round but I think Dulorme edged it. Dulorme 10-9.

Round 12: Dulorme comes forward and throws a jab. Now Dulorme tries a right hand that doesn’t land. Vargas lands a jab upstairs. Now Vargas throws a number of jabs that Dulorme is able to slip. Vargas lands the jab this time, and then tries a right hand that glances off Dulorme’s shoulder. Right hand lead lands for Dulorme, then a jab to the body. Hard right hand from Dulorme puts Vargas down! Vargas gets up right away with a smile! Dulorme 10-8. I’ve got it scored for Dulorme 115-111.

JARRELL MILLER vs TOMASZ ADAMEK

Round 1: Adamek come out probing with a jab, Miller fences with his own. Now Adamek comes in with a body shot and Miller returns fire and the 90lb difference knocks Adamek around. Hard shots come from Miller who is just walking down Adamek with no concern about getting hurt. Uppercut lands for Miller. Hard body shot from Miller folds Adamek at the waist. Adamek is just way too small, basically a road bump to a SUV. Miller 10-9.

Round 2: Adamek lands two to the body but it doesn’t seem to make a dent on Miller, Now Miller walks forward with a number of shots that badly hurt Adamaek, who now goes down from an uppercut. Adamek tries to get up at the 10-count but it’s over! Miller KO-2.

ARTUR BETERBIEV vs CALLUM JOHNSON

Round 1: Beterbiev comes to center ring and Johnson throws a number of feints at him. Both fighters look a little tentative and don’t want to rush into a big shot. Johnson rties a big right hand that misses. Beterbiev lands a hook but Johnson does too! Beterbiev looks like he didn’t like that and tries to get another one back. Two jabs land for Beterbiev. Beterbiev launches an assault on Johnson and lands some good shots! Johnson tries a counter right but can’t land it clean. Johnson back Beterbiev to the corner but Beterbiev turns him and crushes him with a shot that puts Johnson down! Johnson beats the count but he was hurt. Beterbiev 10-8.

Round 2: Beterbiev tries a right hook that Johnson catches on his guard. Beterbiev throws two jabs and then a right hook and a left hook to the head. Beterbiev tries to sweep a hook around Johnson’s guard and it partially lands. Hard right hand buckles Johnson again! Johnson keeps his feet and drops Beterbiev with a big shot! WOW! Beterbiev beats the count and now we’ have a fight, ladies and gentleman! Beterbiev looks like he’s recovered but both fighters have the power to hurt one another. Johnson 10-8, 18-18.

Round 3: Beterbiev leads with two jabs that split Johnson’s guard. Johnson walks in and lands a hook that draws an angered reaction from Beterbiev. Right hand lead lands for Beterbiev. Johnson is bleeding over his right eye. Hard left hook lands for Beterbiev on the inside. Beterbiev probes with his jab and then throws a right hand to the body. Both fighters try to trade but get end up in a clinch. Both fighters lands hooks on one another to end the round! Beterbiev 10-9.

Round 4: Johnson comes out with three jabs as he steps forward. Beterbiev lands a hard jab to the body. Beterbiev throws several hooks as Johnson walks him back to the ropes and then Johnson gets in one of his own. Short right hand lands for Beterbiev in the corner. Johnson continues to try to walk Beterbiev down behind a high guard and walks into Beterbiev’s jabs. Short right hand levels Johnson in close quarters! Johnson gets up right at the 10 count and the referee says it’s over! Beterbiev KO-4.

DANNY ROMAN vs GAVIN MCDONNELL

Round 1: McDonnell circles the outside of the ring as Roman looks for a place to step in and throw. Now Romand lands a body shot on McDonnell when he gets him to the ropes. McDonnell tries to get back on the move and establish his jab. McDonnell paws with several jabs that can’t find the target. Hard counter left hook to the body lands for Roman. Hard right hook to the body lands for Roman, then another one. Now a right hook across the chin lands for Roman. Roman 10-9.

Round 2: McDonnell continues to measure with his jab but can’t really land it. Roman looks really comfortable and is just taking his time, picking his shots. McDonnell just looks really jittering in there. Now Roman lands a few right hands to both the head and body of McDonnell (who has on way too much bronzer). Roman is in control. Roman 10-9, 20-18.

Round 3: Left hand lands for Roman. McDonnell flicks out some jabs but they’re not landing on Roman much at all. Roman lands his jab though, and then squats down before landing an up-jab on McDonnell. Now Roman lands a right hook to the body. Roman follows it up with a left to the body and head. Hard right hand lands for Roman, right across McDonnell’s chin. Why does McDonnell look like a carrot? It’s distracting. Roman goes on a sustained attack for the final 10 seconds to win another round. Roman 10-9.

Round 4: I know damn well it ain’t that sunny in Britain for McDonnell to be looking like Thomas Dulorme...(sigh)...Uppercut lands for Roman but McDonnell is able to dodge the follow up with some good head movement. Roman comes forward and goes to the body this time, and lands both. The shorter Roman continues to land his jab with much for efficiency than McDonnell. Both fighters start trading at center ring I think Roman gets in the better shots. Now McDonnell tries to go back to boxing but Roman jumps on him until the bell rings. Roman 10-9, 40-36.

Round 5: McDonnell tries a body shot but can’t land clean. Roman sneaks in a short right hook to the body in return. Hard left hook lands clean upstairs for Roman, then another one! Both fighters trade and both land a couple shots. McDonnell lands a good punch with his right hand. McDonnell looks like he’s bleeding down his down nose now. Several hard body shots come from Roman as McDonnell loses his mouthpiece. The referee calls a timeout to put it back in. Sharp left uppercut to the face lands for Roman, who is starting to bust up McDonnell. Roman 10-9.

Round 6: Roman steps in and looks for an angle to land on McDonnell, then finds it. McDonnell tries an uppercut from long range that misses the mark. Now McDonnell is starting to walk forward on Roman to perhaps see if he doesn’t start finding better success that way, but once Roman starts throwing back he steps away again. Hard right hook to the body, followed by a left hook upstairs lands for Roman. Hard left hook lands again for Roman! McDonnell is really starting to take a beating, and a lot more clean shots. Roman 10-9, 60-54.

Round 7: Roman’s corner urges him to step on the gas and put McDonnell away, not wanting this to go to the cards. Roman slips a number of McDonnell punches on the outside and then looks for a counter right hand that glances off McDonnell’s shoulder. McDonnell gets on his bike but Roman is able to land a hook upstairs and a couple of body shots. McDonnell tries to work on a jab to the body but Roman backs him right back up with his hooks. Roman lands another left hook upstairs on McDonnell. Roman 10-9.

Round 8: McDonnell leads with a jab that Roman parries. McDonnell throws several more jabs as Roman slips his head side-to-side. Roman also looks like he has a very small cut over his right eye. Jab lands for Roman. Two more jabs come from McDonnell, then another down to the body. It looks like Roman is taking a break in this round, though he lands a right hook to the body just as I write that. McDonnell throws four punches at Roman. I think McDonnell just edges this round with his workrate. McDonnell 10-9, 73-79.

Round 9: Roman lands a jab to the body. Now McDonnell lands a counter right upstairs. Right hook to the body lands for Roman. Referee calls a timeout to deal with some tape unraveling on McDonnell’s glove. Hard overhand right lands for Roman. McDonnell goes downstairs again with a right hand. McDonnell boxing and moving but Roman jumps in and gets McDonnell in a corner and he unloads a combination. Several pumping jabs come from McDonnell. Left hook lands for McDonnell! Both fighter trade blows to the final bell. I think McDonnell edged this round too. McDonnell 10-9.

Round 10: McDonnell leads with a few more jabs to start this round. McDonnell tries to measure a right hand but it falls short. McDonnell steps in with two hooks to the body and Roman lands two back in return. Both fighters start trading body punches and Roman lands a hook upstairs. Hard right hand buckles McDonnell! Roman follows it up with a flurry and McDonnell hits the deck! McDonnell gets up but he’s unsteady and the referee calls it off! It’s over! Roman TKO-10.

ERICA FARIAS vs JESSICA MCCAKSILL

Round 1: Farias comes out quick and land a jab but McCaskll lands a huge right hand that shakes up Farias. Farias is able to regain her footing and lands a jab to the body. McCaskill continues to come forward and tries to mix it up with Farias. Two minute rounds so this passed by quickly. McCaskill 10-9.

Round 2: Referee warns both fighters for using their heads against one another. Both fighters trade at center ring and both land some good shots. McCaskill stalks and lands a good overhand right on Farias. McCaskill continues to walk Farias down and make it a brawl, more than Farias would like to. I slightly favor McCaskill’s aggression. McCaskill 10-9, 20-18.

Round 3: Both fighters get warned again for their use of their head during the exchanges. McCaskill lands a body shot but Farias is able to pick off her next shot with a jab as she backs up. McCaskill continues to walk forward and throw power shots at Farias. Hard left hook lands clean for Farias. McCaskill still comes forward and tries to land another right hand, then gets one right at the bell. I think Farias landed the most significant punch of the round. Farias 10-9.

Round 4: McCaskill walks right in and Farias is able to place a well timed jab on her. McCaskill still isn’t deterred though, and comes back in but gets caught with another left hook from Farias. Left to the body lands for McCaskill. Farias throws two hooks that land and I think although McCaskill is still the aggressor, she’s getting a little sloppy which is giving Farias opportunties. Farias-10-9, 38-38.

Round 5: Two jabs come from McCaskill but one falls a little short. Now a hard flurry comes from McCaskill and she lands a big straight right on Farias! Another overhand right lands for McCaskill. McCaskill ducks a punch and then counters with a left hand. Both fighters try trading at center ring again. McCaskell 10-9.

Round 6: McCaskill is back to imposing her aggression on Farias and is throwing punches in bunchers. McCaskill is getting more and more confident and it’s showing in her fighting. Farias is having a little trouble dealing with the pace of this non-stop action. McCaskill 10-9.

Round 7: Left hook counter lands for Farias. Now Farias picks off McCaskill again, but McCaskill walks right back in and throws three uppercuts in a row! McCaskill is getting bolder and Farias tries to go down to the body to stake some of the steam out of her opponent. Left to the body lands again for Farias but McCaskill returns with another combination. McCaskill 10-9.

Round 8: Farias comes out firing to start this round as she tries to steal the play away. McCaskill tries to get in some chopping arm punches as the fighters get tied up at center ring. McCaskill walks in again and looks to land something big on Farias but can’t this time. Two more uppercuts come from McCaskill. Hard jab lands for McCaskill. Another hard uppercut lands for McCaskill. I think McCaskill steals it at the end. McCaskill 10-9, 78-74.

Round 9: McCaskill throws a four punch combination and tries to follow it up with five more punches! McCaskill won’t stop throwing and Farias can’t find a moment to throw. McCaskill lands a nice right hand and now Farias gets one back. McCaskill steps in again and throws another combination before the bell rings. McCaskill 10-9.

Round 10: I think Farias needs a knockout to win on my card. McCaskill lands a hard shot that snaps Farias’ head. Farias is bleeding from the nose now. Farias tries a body shot combination but McCaskill continues to press the action. Three punches come from McCaskill, Farias tries to respond with some of her own. Left hook lands for McCaskill, who then weaves a couple hooks. I think McCaskill takes the round and the fight. McCaskill 10-9, 98-92.
