Main Events and NBC have some history, and it looks like the promotional firm and the network will be working together again.

ESPN reports that the two sides are finalizing a deal to bring boxing back to NBC networks, with a potential first card on NBC on December 29 from Atlantic City.

If the deal is completed, NBC would join several other broadcasters who are paying rights fees to televise boxing matches. If the deal is finalized, it would mean at least a two-year deal for roughly seven shows per year with rights fees in the low six-figures per card, according to the sources. The kickoff show is being contemplated for Dec. 29 on NBC in Atlantic City, New Jersey, with subsequent shows ticketed for NBC Sports Net.

NBC has been in and out of boxing in recent years, including a deal with Main Events that ran from January 2012 through the end of 2014. They aired some PBC fights in 2015-16, but haven’t had boxing on in the last couple of years.
