Freddie Roach gives thoughts on Pacquiao-Broner

Roach tried to be as non-committal as possible.

Manny Pacquiao’s former trainer, Freddie Roach, takes a moment to answer some quick questions about the expected fight between Pacquiao and Adrien Broner. Check out what he had to say...

Roach on this thoughts on Pacquiao-Broner:

“Umm, that’s a pretty good fight. I wouldn’t pick a winner in that. I think that Pacquiao should win the fight but, um, at ‘47 I’m not [sure] — I’m not involved anymore so I’m not in the mix, so I don’t know what he’s doing. So it’s hard for me to give you an answer without being there.”

On how he thinks Pacquiao would look against Broner considering his last fight against Matthysse:

“I saw the Matthysse fight, he looked like he fought very well and, I mean, Broner is nothing like that, though. I mean, there’s no similarities at all with those two really opposite guys.”

On if he thought Pacquiao still looked strong and fast the last time he saw him:

“I thought he looked very good. Yeah.”
