Luis Nery’s former title will get a new home on December 22nd when Nordine Oubaali faces Rau’shee Warren for the vacant WBC bantamweight title. The fight was originally ordered in September and will join the undercard of a PBC tripleheader headlined by the Charlo twins.

The undercard will also see the return of Rances Barthelemy against TBA at a 137-pound catchweight.

Oubaali (14-0, 11 KO) ended Warren’s (16-2, 4 KO) 2012 Olympic run with a one-point victory. His professional résumé includes a knockout of Iran Diaz and decisions over veterans Alejandro Hernandez and Mark Anthony Geraldo.

Warren, meanwhile, is 2-0 since losing his title to Zhanat Zhakiyanov last year, defeating McJoe Arroyo and Juan Gabriel Medina.

The winner will presumably go on to face the winner of Takuma Inoue vs. Petch Sor Chitpattana, which determines the interim champion on December 30th. Despite being a world title fight, it will not be televised, as the broadcast opens with Dominic Breazeale vs. Carlos Negron.
