All Access Daily: Wilder vs. Fury (Part 1)

Showtime takes us behind the scenes during fight week.

It’s fight week — just in case you didn’t know by now. And in anticipation of Deontay Wilder’s heavyweight title defense against Tyson Fury this Saturday, Showtime supplements its All Access series with All Access Daily, a four-part digital installment covering the final few days leading into the bout.

Tyson Fury begins by assuring us of his stardom, walking the streets and greeting fans. But he soon takes a serious tone when talking about the upcoming fight.

“Wilder ain’t coming to play games, he’s coming to take to take me out. He says he wants to put me in a body bag. From now until the fight, Deontay Wilder and me, we’re archenemies. Because I’m trying to take food out of his mouth, for his kids, and he’s trying to do the same to mine.”

Not long after we catch Wilder make the promotional rounds, starting with a trip to the Los Angeles Fire Department before sitting down to join Michael Rapaport’s podcast and talking about what kind of energy he gets from Fury when they’re up close.

“He’s definitely terrified. He’s definitely fearful of me. You know, I’ve been doing this for a very long time, 40 fights in, so I know what fear looks like, I know what it feels like, and I know what it smells like.”
