Jeff Horn and Anthony Mundine are set for their big domestic showdown in Australia, and ESPN+ will be streaming the event for U.S. fans, with coverage beginning at 3:30 am ET, with the main event expected around 6-6:30.
Horn (18-1-1, 12 KO) is coming off of a lopsided loss to Terence Crawford in June, where he dropped his welterweight title, which he’d controversially won from Manny Pacquiao in the summer of 2017 at this same venue, Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Between those two fights, he put a beating on fringe contender Gary Corcoran.
The 43-year-old Mundine, 13 years Horn’s senior, is coming off of a second round knockout of Tommy Browne in January, but had lost back-to-back fights to Charles Hatley and Danny Green before that, and has lost three of five overall.
Horn-Mundine is scheduled for 12 rounds, technically in the middleweight division.
The card will also feature a welterweight bout between Cameron Hammond (17-1, 9 KO) and Frank Rojas (23-1, 22 KO), plus Brent Rice (8-0, 2 KO) against Liam Wilson (2-0, 2 KO) for the Australian super featherweight title, both bouts scheduled for 10 rounds.
