Wilder-Fury: Deontay Wilder’s Open Media Workout

Deontay Wilder shows off his stuff as he gets ready to defend his world title on Dec. 1.

As Deontay Wilder prepares to defend his WBC heavyweight title on Dec. 1 against former unified champion Tyson Fury, Wilder holds an open media workout which can be viewed above, thanks to our friends at Fight Hub TV.

In the clip you can watch Wilder go through a mitt routine with trainer Jay Deas while he flashes his vaunted speed and power. Wilder has been doing his best to prepare for Fury’s awkward style, and has even enlisted the assistance of former opponent Mailk Scott to emulate Fury’s style. That portion of the session can be seen here.

Should Wilder come out with a win in this outing, fans on both sides of the Atlantic will be hoping to see him finally unify titles with Anthony Joshua, whom Wilder repeatedly calls a ‘coward’. Unfortunately it still seems like a long shot that those two face off next April, but anything is possible.
