With Tony Bellew set to contend for all the cruiserweight titles on Saturday, facing reigning champion Oleksandr Usyk, Fight Hub TV is able to capture Bellew during his open media workout. You can watch the segment above to get a glimpse of Bellew’s current form.
Bellew looks like he’s gotten himself in pretty good shape for what he expects will be the toughest fight of his life — professional or amateur — and he’ll probably need it against Usyk, who is indeed a formidable opponent.
During the workout Bellew flashes some pretty good speed and combinations as he goes through a shadowboxing routine and then a mitt workout with his trainer David Coldwell.
Bellew says that he intends to retire from boxing after this fight, win or lose, while Usyk is known to be targeting a heavyweight showdown against Anthony Joshua sometime in the furture. If that fight ever happens, it probably won’t be until 2020.
