Undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk will be putting all four of his major world titles on the line this Saturday when he takes on challenger Tony Bellew in Manchester, England. And ahead of the big even, Usyk holds his open media workout, which can be seen above courtesy of Fight Hub TV.
Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs) comes into this bout fresh off the heels of a tournament win the World Boxing Super Series. In doing so he knocked off Marco Huck, Mairis Briedis, and Murat Gassiev en-route to the Muhammad Ali trophy — as well as becoming the first cruiserweight to ever unify all major titles.
But now Bellew poses a different sort of threat. Of course Usyk enters the fight as a favorite, but Bellew has overcome adversity before by twice beating David Haye when he wasn’t expected to. Bellew, aware that this will be his swan song, talks as if he’s prepared to leave it all in the ring Saturday night, and that could make him plenty dangerous.
We’ll have to see how that all plays out this weekend, but in the meanwhile watch Usyk go through his paces, including him pulling out the hat and tennis ball just like Vasyl Lomachenko.
