Jermall Charlo (27-0, 21 KOs) puts his interim WBC middleweight title on the line this Saturday when he faces Matt Korobov (28-1, 14 KOs) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, but Charlo finds himself facing someone he didn’t originally plan for.
Charlo’s original opponent, Willie Monroe Jr., was just pulled from the fight this week when it was revealed that Monroe tested positive for a banned substance. That caused Korobov, who had been slated for an 8-round fight on the undercard, to be promoted into the fight with Charlo on late notice.
Really, there’s not a whole lot you’re going to change in your preparations when you’re this close to a fight, but Charlo isn’t looking to change much of anything anyway. So during his open media workout you can get a glimpse at Charlo’s current form as he goes through a lengthy open media workout which includes shadowboxing, a mitt routine, and some strategic work.
