The six fighters set for tomorrow night’s ESPN tripleheader from New York all made weight today, and the card with two title fights headlining the action is good to go.
The show goes live tomorrow night at 9 pm ET on ESPN, and we’ll be here with live coverage.
In the main event, Vasiliy Lomachenko (11-1, 9 KO) will put his WBA “super world” lightweight title on the line against Jose Pedraza (25-1, 12 KO). Lomachenko, considered by many the world’s top pound-for-pound fighter, weighed in at 134.4, with “Sniper” Pedraza, now a two-division champion, weighing in at 134.2.
In the co-feature, Isaac Dogboe (20-0, 14 KO) defends his WBO super bantamweight title against Emanuel Navarrete (25-1, 22 KO) in what could be the night’s show-stealer. Dogboe tipped the scales at 120.8, with Navarrete at the limit of 122.
The opener will pit lightweight prospect Teofimo Lopez (10-0, 8 KO) against veteran Mason Menard (34-3, 24 KO), which is a nice matchup for Lopez and a good chance for Menard to get his name back out there after a couple of losses. Both weighed in at the division limit of 135 pounds.
