Super featherweights Jono Carroll and Guillaume Frenois fought to a draw, meaning that nobody won the IBF eliminator for a shot at next weekend’s Tevin Farmer-Francisco Fonseca winner.

Carroll (16-0-1, 3 KO) won one card, 115-113; Frenois (46-1-1, 12 KO) won another card, 115-113; and the third was even, 114-114. The draw was an acceptable result in a very competitive fight.

Other results:

  • Super featherweight contender Kid Galahad (26-0, 15 KO) stayed undefeated with an eight-round tune-up win over Bryan Mairena (10-5-1, 4 KO).
  • Junior middleweight prospect Anthony Fowler (9-0, 8 KO) knocked out Jose Carlos Paz (23-8-1, 13 KO) in 93 seconds.
  • Hometown welterweight Anthony Tomlinson (9-0, 4 KO) kept his unbeaten record with a fifth round stoppage of Innocent Anywanu (25-39-3, 15 KO).
  • Terri Harper (5-0, 2 KO) stopped Feriche Mashauri (6-2, 1 KO) in the second round.
  • Qais Ashfaq (4-0, 2 KO) put Jay Carney (5-4-2, 3 KO) away in the fifth round.
  • Callum Hancock (9-0, 1 KO) won a four-round shutout over Ivan Nikolov (2-5-1, 0 KO).
