Joseph Parker has the biggest fight of his life coming up where he’ll take on fellow titleholder Anthony Joshua in Cardiff next month. And looking ahead to the match-up Tyson Fury has offered some sparring work to Parker’s team. Parker’s trainer, Kevin Barry, didn’t bite on the offer though...

“Tyson put his hand up to help us in the last two weeks once we arrived,” Barry told Sky Sports News.

“Really, two weeks out, we don’t need to be getting in there with a 6ft 9in Tyson Fury!“

“Tyson’s a great friend of our team and we appreciate all the support he gives us, but that just doesn’t work out for us.”

In all reality Tyson Fury would probably benefit from the work much more than Joseph Parker, especially considering Fury’s style is nothing like that of Anthony Joshua. Fury has been attempting to trim back down to a suitable fighting weight after his long hiatus from the sport, but he still appears to have some ways to go.

Meanwhile Parker’s trainer is enthusiastic about how training camp has kicked off.
