Garcia vs Rios: Final Press Conference (Live at 4:00pm ET)

Danny Garcia and Brandon Rios hold their final presser before their fight this Saturday.

Today, starting at 4:00pm ET, Showtime Sports will be live streaming the final press conference for Danny Garcia vs. Brandon Rios, scheduled for this Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. You can catch the full live stream right here on BLH!

Garcia (33-1, 19 KOs) will be making his first appearance since losing his WBC welterweight title to Keith Thurman nearly a full year ago. Garcia says the time off has allowed him to feel refreshed and is looking to get back into the 147lb title mix.

Meanwhile Rios (34-3-1, 25 KOs) is one fight removed from a poor showing against Timothy Bradley — a fight that saw him knocked out for the first time and had him announce his retirement from the sport. That didn’t stick (obviously), and Rios returned to action last summer, stopping Aaron Herrera in seven rounds.

Conventional wisdom has this fight pegged as something of a bounce-back fight for Garcia, who is expected to roll over a shopworn Brandon Rios. Rios, though, isn’t playing into that narrative, exclaiming that he’s rededicated his life to boxing and is in the best shape of his life. There’s little doubt that his mind and heart are willing, but there’s serious questions about whether or not his body is still able going through so many wars.

We’ll find out for sure this Saturday night, but for click here to catch our full preview of the fight.
