The war of words between Terry Flanagan and Maurice Hooker has gone up a notch following Hooker's interview with BoxNation's podcast.
In the firey one-sided exchange with presenter Steve Lillis, the boxer from Texas didn’t hold back when bad mouthing his opponent.
”I can’t stand him. He’s weak, he’s soft. I’m gonna wake him up! He’s going down.”
Convinced he’s the stronger, more skilful boxer, the 28-year-old puncher stated his intentions (rather obvious for a boxer) in regards to Flanagan.
”I’m gonna punch him in his mouth!”
The undefeated Flanagan doesn't usually get involved in slagging matches, and on Tuesday took to Twitter to respond, appearing confused.
What have I ever done to him? https://t.co/rKQcWlHZqB

"Mighty Mo" Hooker travels to Europe to fight for the first time this coming April, with the verbal aggression adding another dimension to the fight.
The vacant WBO world super lightweight title bout features alongside Billy Joe Saunders’ WBO world title defence to Martin Murray.
