We’re good to go for tomorrow evening’s World Boxing Super Series semifinals round between George Groves and Chris Eubank Jr. Both fighters hit the scale today and both weighed in just under the super middleweight limit of 168lbs.

Chris Eubank Jr. (26-1, 20 KOs) was up to the scale first and officially weighed-in at 167.5lbs. And as per usually, he appeared to be in great physical shape, ready to rock n’ roll.

WBA super middleweight champion George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) was up next, and looked at least a little concerned as he peered down at the scale, but he actually weigh-in lighter than Eubank Jr. at 167.1lbs. He clearly doesn’t have the physique of Eubank Jr., but you don’t win fights on the scale.

Both fighters would soon get into an intense stare down before fielding some media questions.

“I’m in the prime of my career, I’m fighting better than ever, and so this is just another fight” Groves said.

“George ain’t ready, I can see it in his eyes” Eubank Jr. exclaimed. “He walked in here with his shades on, he doesn’t want to be here! He wants to get put into retirement so that’s what we’re gonna do on Saturday night. I’m taking that belt home.”
