All three major fights had been rumored for a while, but it’s nice to have confirmation.
Maciej Sulecki (26-0, 10 KO) is certainly a tougher out for Daniel Jacobs (33-2, 29 KO) than Luis Arias was and should be more competitive than Spike O’Sullivan would have been. The one main cause for concern is that Sulecki has been plying his trade at 154 lately, while Jacobs is a hulk of a middleweight with serious stopping power.
Johann Duhaupas (37-4, 24 KO), who might be the ballsiest heavyweight on the planet, should give us an idea of whether the gigantic Miller (20-0-1, 18 KO) is a legitimate title threat, being a capable and experienced veteran. Going by recent weigh-ins, Miller could outweigh him by 40 pounds come fight night.
In all honesty, the third matchup is the most relevant to the world stage. Both Katie Taylor (8-0, 4 KO) and Victoria Noelia Bustos (18-4, 0 KO) are in BoxRec’s top five for women’s lightweight and this fight will serve to unify Taylor’s WBA title and Bustos’ IBF belt.
