ESPN, 8:00 pm ET, Jose Ramirez vs Amir Imam, Oleksandr Gvozdyk vs Mehdi Amar. The main event is for the vacant WBC 140-pound title, which saw its interim version just won by Regis Prograis, who will in theory fight the winner of Ramirez-Imam, all of which is pretty good work by the WBC in properly filling Terence Crawford’s vacancy. That’s giving a sanctioning body credit for something, which we rarely do, but hey, if the shoe fits. Gvozdyk-Amar is for the interim WBC light heavyweight title. You’ll recall that Adonis Stevenson, who defends on May 19, holds the full belt. There’s a lot of talent in action on this card: Felix Verdejo returns, Christopher Diaz is back, Jose Pedraza makes his Top Rank debut, Michael Conlan fights again.
