19-year-old Ryan “Kingry” Garcia (14-0, 13 KO) has quietly emerged as one of the sport’s top young talents, earning ESPN’s “Prospect of the Year” award for 2017 over the likes of Teofimo Lopez Jr., Josh Taylor, and Daniel Dubois. He showed just why folks are so high on him tonight with a savage stoppage of Fernando Vargas (32-14-3, 21 KO) in his first appearance of 2018.

Garcia fought seven times in 2016 and six times in 2017. I’d say he’s at about the point where they should wheel out a tricky veteran and see what happens.

The card saw further Stanky Leg action in Eddie Gomez’s (21-3, 12 KO) second-round knockout of KeAndre Gibson (18-2-1, 7 KO) one fight.

Go follow caposa, he’s awesome.
