Weigh-In Results: Anthony Joshua 242lbs, Joseph Parker 236lbs

Both heavyweight champions looked primed to fight tomorrow night in Cardiff.

Early this morning (US time), heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker hit the scale ahead of their title unification fight set for tomorrow in Cardiff. The weigh-in was a pretty big event in and of itself, with over 4,000 in attendance.

Parker made his grand arrival to the stage after some Samoan tribal dancers did their thing for the crowd. Parker intensely watched the shindig from the walkway before coming up to the stage wearing a large parka jacket.

Joshua then made his way to the stage next, accompanied by a marching band and Drake’s God’s Plan (which Parker also seemed to enjoy as he was spotted milly rockin’ on stage).

Parker stepped on the scale first and officially weighed-in at 236lbs, looking fit and ready to go. Joshua would step on the scale next and officially weighed-in at statuesque 242lbs. The fighters then shook hands with one another following the traditional face-off as a sign of mutual respect.

Sky Sports had some serious difficulty with their live stream, which was intermittently interrupted, so the interviews after the weigh-in were delayed for several minutes. And when they finally did get it back on, the sound went haywire so...I don’t really have any quotes for you. Oh well. Their fists will do the talking tomorrow evening anyway, and that’s all that counts.
