Welp.
It was not their various crimes that wound up sinking Adrien Broner vs. Omar Figueroa, but a shoulder injury to Figueroa. Broner still intends to fight on April 21st and is not buying Omar’s explanation.
He knew he wasn’t go make weight and I was go stop his ass!!!

Self-awareness was never Broner’s strong suit.
Figueroa (27-0-2, 19 KO) is due in court in two weeks for a January DUI charge. He was 170 pounds at the time and has crushed the scales in two of his last three fights, including weighing in at 151 against Antonio DeMarco when the bout was booked at 140.
Broner (33-3, 24 KO) has his own sexual battery charge to deal with along with whatever member of the TBA clan they manage to rustle up. This is, of course, an opportunity for Team Broner to alter the fight’s weight class.
They’d be fools not to.
We’ll let you know when/if Broner gets a new opponent and provide updates on the state of the rest of the Showtime tripleheader.
