Hugo Centeno checked in with BLH and updated us on how he’s feeling after his planned tango with Jermall Charlo hit a speed bump.

“I am doing everything I can to help recovery right now,” said the 27-year-old Cali boxer with a 26-1 record.

You recall he was to fight the “bigger” bro on Saturday night, underneath Wilder-Ortiz.

“I was sparring over at Buddy McGirt’s gym last Monday (April 23). I felt the injury, and come Wednesday I thought it had gone away, and I just made it worse. That night when the adrenaline came down I had to be taken to the ER because I knew something was wrong. I am not exactly sure who it was when it originally happened. I was sparring three different guys.”

And what did docs tell him? “Doctors said to take two to three weeks off depending on how I feel with the pain. I feel like the reset date will be perfect timing for me to be 100%!”

The new date is April 21, back to Brooklyn.

Oh, did he see and hear the jawing between Charlo and Danny Jacobs from Saturday night at Barclays Center? How Charlo suggested each skip interim fights and get right to butting heads next?

“Nah, I haven’t seen that circus show yet. I’m really not worried about it, I’m focused on beating Charlo and nothing else. I’ve got one mission and I’m not worried about anything or anyone else but that!”
