Valdez vs Quigg: Final Press Conference

Oscar Valdez puts his WBO featherweight title on the line against Scott Quigg tomorrow night.

Wil Esco is an assistant editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2014.

As WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez (23-0, 19 KOs) gets set to defend his title against Scott Quigg (34-1-2, 25 KOs) tomorrow night on ESPN, the fighters hold their final press conference announcing the fight.

Valdez and Quigg have some experience against one another, having sparred together before, and Valdez says that if this fight is anything like their previous sparring session, the fans will be in for one helluva treat.

The 27-year-old Valdez is most recently coming off a unanimous decision win over Genesis Servania last September, while Quigg is coming off a stoppage win over Oleg Yefimovych in early November. Quigg, who is now aligned with famed trainer Freddie Roach, is looking to keep his momentum going and recapture another world title since dropping his to Carl Frampton in early 2016.

Check out the full final presser above, complete with statements from the undercard fighters ahead of tomorrow night’s action. We’ll be here with live coverage of the fights!
