Rod Salka lost fights to both Francisco Vargas and dignity tonight as Vargas forced a corner stoppage after six rounds.

Salka’s first misstep came when he entered the ring dressed like this.

In a well-executed metaphor for the wall’s current funding status, Salka (24-5, 4 KO) went down to a lovely series of body shots and uppercuts in the fifth. After another round of one-sided action, his corner elected to call it.

Vargas (25-1-2, 18 KO) reaffirmed his desire for a rematch with Miguel Berchelt afterwards, although Berchelt currently has mandatory challenger Miguel Roman to deal with.

The card also saw Irish young gun Aaron McKenna (3-0, 2 KO) wipe out Keasen Freeman (4-2, 2 KO) in the first round and Andrew Cancio (18-4-2, 14 KO) hand Aidar Sharibayev (7-1, 6 KO) his first loss in violent fashion.
