Today, starting at 12:30 pm ET, Showtime Sports will be live streaming the final press conference for Adrien Broner vs. Jessie Vargas, set to take place on Saturday night at the Barclays Center.
This fight could well be Broner’s last chance at headlining a major card should he take another loss here, so he’ll really have to show up and perform under the guidance of his new trainer, Kevin Cunningham.
Meanwhile a win for Vargas is expected to put him back into world title contention after getting blown out by Manny Pacquiao in late 2016, so he has all the motivation in the world to be at his best.
The real intrigue, for me anyway, is two-fold: 1) Is there any chance that 6ix9ine crashes today’s presser after getting into a social media beef with Broner, and 2) is there any chance that Broner’s wagered check clears should he lose this fight.
(I’m guessing no since Broner used a black marker to basically invalidate the check.)
