Lara vs Hurd, more: Boxing fight times and TV schedule for April 6-7

TyC Sports (ARG), 10:00 pm ET, Yesica Yolanda Bopp vs Soledad del Valle Frias. Bopp is defending the WBA “world” junior flyweight title.

Saturday, April 7

SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Erislandy Lara vs Jarrett Hurd, Caleb Truax vs James DeGale, Julian Williams vs Nathaniel Gallimore. It’s a tripleheader at 154 (two fights) and 168 (the Truax-DeGale rematch) on Showtime, live from the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. I’m curious what this will draw in Vegas, even at one of the smaller venues, even though the draw is not a top concern for this event. (If it were, it’d be on the east coast, or uh, Minnesota.) Lara-Hurd finally gives us Lara in against a top junior middleweight instead of Yuri Foreman and Terrell Gausha, Truax-DeGale is an interesting rematch of a big upset, and Williams is looking to keep his career on track against Gallimore, who is looking to break out.
