Lara (25-2-2, 14 KOs), one of the most technical fighters in the sport, is most recently coming off a dull decision win over Terrell Gausha last October. But in this fight there’s less of a chance of things not heating up as Hurd (21-0, 15 KOs) is a come forward fighter who looks to land his power punches and doesn’t seem to mind taking some in return.
Hurd is most recently coming off a stoppage win over Austin Trout, another technical southpaw, and has expressed his goals of becoming the undisputed junior middleweight champion. This fight will be the first step in reaching that goal and he’s under no illusion that it won’t be a difficult talk.
